Doom Eternal is coming out very soon. Has anyone else plans to buy it? I talked on reddit about this but the forums there are so toxic. I figure I will try here, since you guys all seem to be older and mature. I am an older gamer who enjoys multiplayer and single player games and hoping to find some fellow gamers like me. If not no sweat. I still like reading your posts and been stalking the site for a few months or more now. I will stick around but only really talk about games and gaming.

Very Cool news CPT!  I am a huge fan of Doom, Quake and Duke Nukeem!  I never really progressed into online games as I was off line prior to the birth of the Web.  Thanks for the great memories the trailer brought back.

I'm not into video games and have never heard of Doom Eternal.  Is it a game about what happens to men when they marry?  Are the male players doomed  at the end of the game and do the female players win all the gold coins?

Fellow gamer here. I loved...well, all of the Doom games going back to the 90's, actually...but the most recent one released on PS4 was especially good. Funny thing is I almost rage quit on Kadinger Sanctum...that map was just waaay too confusing. I'm glad I stuck with it though. The game also had an excellent storyline, and I am very much looking forward to the sequel. I plan to buy Eternal just as soon as it comes out.

The Brits and the French were p.o'd at Hitler and Il Duce because they wanted to conquer Eastern & Southern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. Just like the Brits and French conquered dozens of nations in Africa and Asia. Hitler and Il Duce played too close to home and they felt threatened.

If the Brits and the French never ventured south of the African equator, I doubt that they would have cared nearly as much if Hitler and Il Duce wanted to expand there and were disinterested in expanding into Europe and the Mediterranean.  The world didn't give a sh*t when Il Duce invaded Ethiopia.

On some level, the Brits and the French felt that they were helping the brown people that they conquered while they extracted their resources which enriched the wealthy conquering families. Hitler and Il Duce had no such delusions. Everyone knew that their visions of empire-building included conquest, death, and plunder. At least, they were honest about their greedy and harmful intentions.

I'm looking up online. The best way to emulate a win95+ on an Android device.

If anyone has any tips or links. I'd greatly appreciate it.

If I get a handle on it first. I'll do my best to explain the necessary steps. If any of you guys are interested.

From the videos and articles I've read so far. A 32gb internal sdcard should be more than capable. Of running PC games pre 2004 at their top of the line settings.

Some guys even have limited multiplayer internet connectivity using WiFi Isps. Once I understand the nuts and bolts of the settings. I'll use my 4g cellular to connect.

The main difficulty in classic PC gaming. Is tricking your hardware via software and emulator settings. To have values the old PC programs can interact with.

Console emulators all have the same hardware settings. So any file corresponding to emulated console hardware. Will function easily.

Looking this stuff up though. Is bringing out my high school tech nerd.

I remember the fun I had with Doom I and II, bought another one some time, and then also the 2016 version. For some reason I never played more than 40 minutes, and I have no idea why. Maybe it felt repetitive? I guess it came out in the time of Cities Skylines, Stellaris and a Euro Truck Simulator 2 expansion, games I sunk way more time in. Definitely not as much as in Football Manager 2013 and 2014, and Morrowind, but still.

Don't think I'll buy Eternal, but I should give DOOM 2016 a new chance, even though I recently started playing War Thunder, and just like Evil Genius, on the side of the baddies 😉
