Keyboarding has become a second skill for most computer users these days and many find themselves performing keyboard tasks without any conscious thought, or knowledge, of what they are doing.  As a reminder, here is a list of some really easy, most-used shortcuts:

  • CTRL+A = Select All
  • CTRL+B = Bold
  • CTRL+C = Copy
  • CTRL+P = Print
  • CTRL+S = Save
  • CTRL+U = Underline
  • CTRL+V = Paste
  • CTRL+X = Cut (just remember that the X looks like scissors!)
  • CTRL+Z = Undo last action (Z-ero it outta there)
  • Remember that Mac's use the "apple" key instead of the "Ctrl" key

Keyboard shortcuts save a lot of time.

And sometimes do things that are blocked by an app or website.

Websites do sometimes deactivate the context menu "right click" to keep you from "stealing" their pics.

Then "Ctrl + c" still works.

And Screenshots the easy way:

Like Ctrl + Print and Alt + Print put a screenshot in your "copy/paste" memory.

Then you open a photo editor of your choice and go "Ctrl. + v".

That's how you save a screenshot "fast" without using PDF24 or any app to have to have installed.

Thanks GB! Thanks to Win-10 I find myself using short keys to avoid stumbling around Microsoft Corporation's ongoing trickery with creepy crawlers crawling and other creatures creaping around inside my box!

Check.  We'll have to see what happens with Win 10 as they still plan on "only issuing semi annual MAJOR updates" at the moment, with no plans for a new OS version.

Having said this, if what Windows 10 is indeed that last version of Windows, what will the replacement Operating System be and when will it post?

Am with you, I still have a personal laptop running XP and never have any issues with it.  Since I never play games, there are never issues with running basic software and systems.

I keep a list of my most used codes, even though I use them all of the time. There are a few times that I forget one that I need and it is always close at hand. Must have list for computer professionals. A good list to have for all others.

Check. My favorite was inserting a blank space into login credentials.  Folks could never figure it out.  I have a shelf filled with user guides, how to guides, short tips, etc... worth their weight in <insert precious metal of your choice>
