I just bought an upgrade for my computer from Newegg, thanks to an advertisement on our site that showed something was on sale. In buying this, I began to think of why I even considered the advertisement, being that I ignore so many, even when it is things I am interested in. Here is another advertisement on TIM that NewEgg put up after my purchase.

If you notice, it doesn't have any fluff, silly pictures, unnecessary descriptions, or anything that appeals to a feel good sense. It is just the product and price. There might be a small description, but it is direct and to the point. When advertising to men, we don't want 'feel good' suggestions... We want information that is facts and utility. This is the second time I purchased something from the advertisements from our website, and most likely will not be the last.

Advertisements that are fluff and feel good are designed for women. They aim to give you bright colors and endearing descriptions, much how toy commercials attempt to entice children to want the toys. Men feel good about making good decisions in life and most companies have forgotten that.

(If you don't see advertisements, that is because you are logged in. Members do not see advertisements.)

Thanks for the update Uly and NewEgg has been a solid, top notch tech company for many years.   They are highly recommended and like you, have have made numerous purchases (personal and work related) from them over the years.

Maybe this is something that the sites "GunSmiths" can work on suggesting to them..... 🤔

Uly, wonder if it would be beneficial to have a page listing the business's that are advertising on T.I.M.?? They would still rotate through the index page, would also be apparent under another listing.

There would be several complications that would be caused by this. I would strongly suggest against it.
