Been down in the armory this weekend, put a big dent in a run of 500 rnds of 45 acp & 500 9mm.

Will be starting 500 rnd run of 7.62 x 39 as soon as components arrive.

Kind of relaxing fiddling with all this stuff, casting, and the measuring, putting it all together. The Black Powder loading will come later, as will the leather work, and a couple small wood ones too. The snow will come soon enough, and I will be buried deep in the basement with a fire going, and a good movie to listen to as I make my creations.

Am looking forward to some snow, didn't get out much coyote hunting, as no snow makes it tuff. Have to see if I can get my JEEP stuck, not really, that sucks the bone.

I hate re-loading the necked brass; always have to play with a case trimmer!

This sounds like a vacation experience. Hell yeah.

With 45 acp and 9 mm, there is no trimming to speak of.

What kind of problems are you having with the necked stuff?  If it's below OAL, you should be good to go. I rarely have to trim, I guess I don't shoot them often or hot enough. What kind of trimmer?

You can tell it's a conservative's house that's burning when all you hear are rounds exploding like bricks of firecrackers!

Extreme conservatives you hear small, medium, and large explosions!

I have a fire extinguisher on every floor!

Well when you re-size a necked round the brass stretches a little and my case trimmer is and old hand crank type and its difficult to get the brass seated straight.  I did 20 rounds of 7.5 swiss for GregBo and it took me hours!

And those rounds are awesome!  At least two of them were, the rest are resting for their special moment in time to shine.  Not saying that they are any hotter than normal rounds, but T.E.G. does like to add a little Bam to his recipe!

Used a custom 9mm round on a racoon recently and while I did not see the exit wound splatter in real time, the entire ribcage area was missing from the subsequent hollowpoint damage.  Ricky the Racoon will any future travel plans except going through another animals GI track.

Custom made rounds specific to a firearm are the way to go if you have that option.  Reloading is like a pickup truck, you don't need to do it yourself if you happen to know someone who does ... and will make some for you or course.
