Major Milestone Today
Well guys.....I did something today that I have dreamed about for the last 40 years!
I stepped out the front door of my own home carrying a cardboard target, a 50 round box of 32 Auto, and my Walther PP.
Strolled around to the back yard, placed the cardboard box with an adhesive bulls eye target in front of an old rotted tree stump and with without asking permission from anyone, started a leisurely session of target shooting.
No Range Officers, No jerk with the short barreled 300 Winchester Magnum in the lane next to me, No rush to get done so that I didn't have to pay for an additional hour, No worrying about the getting shot in the back by some incompetent newb asshole..
NO RULES! except those associated with safe firearms handing that my father taught me when I was 5 years old.
Think I am going to really enjoy living out in the woods when I am able to retire for real in the next few months.
Live is good!
Congratulations! I may be moving out to the woods soon too. Living in suburbia is starting to feel as confining as living in an apartment once did.
Sounds like a beautiful day!
Many more !!!
men, we are on our own. the best you can hope for is good company along the way. the good company is here.
Hell Yeah 53! Sorry, that SBR .300WM was probably me. That thing barks, guess I didn't really need that muzzle brake!
Do NOT chase tail. Turn yours around and live FREE!
I/We have the firing range in our back yards, but no retirement in sight!
But that's okay, I can live without one, but not the other!
Fantastic example of what real freedom is. How did the shooting go?
"Remember, you're fighting for this woman's honor, which is probably more than she ever did."
Groucho Marx: Duck Soup (1933)
That would be a dream come true. All I can get away with is sneaking off a few shots on the 4th of July.
I do this all the time--it is wonderful!
