Last week I decided to see how long I can resist without eating food (and see what hunger looks like), while food is available all around me. This is about testing (and improving) one's discipline and will power, as well as dropping some weight. Honestly for years my discipline and will power were quite low, but the realization of improving those actually pushed me to do better. I had a very good time years ago by going to the gym 3-5 times a week for 4 months and combining that to a healthy balanced diet, the results were quite amazing (for one of those 4 months I went complete monk with no porn and no masturbation, felt amazing).

One of the approaches that drive me to try fasting for a longer time was the Snake Diet channel, this guy called Cole is totally red pilled and call the shit out of feminist, fat people, single mothers etc. he has no political correctness and has helped thousands of people all around the world thanks to his videos and guides. The main point being that you should fast while drinking Snake Juice (recipes changes, with the base you can use pink himalaian salt, potassium chloride, baking soda, usually 1 or half a tea spoon in 0.35 gallons or more depending on how much water you want to drink in a day). I used the base recipe for the Snake Juice and added fresh lemon juice to it (great for the body). I also added green tea and chamomile once a day (without sugar) and I also added some multivitamin today to help me get through the final push.

One of his last videos actually helped me and is a gold mine in my opinion, also describe part of what I wanted to write down:

I decided to go with the Snake Juice for 1 week, my best fasting was 48 hours, just 2 days. Actually I am at day 5 and there have been good moments and bad moments, I kept going with my routine and I start feeling kinda weak, also when I spend more energy I can feel my stomach asking for fuel.

I am deciding wether to push till day 7 before having a refill that I have already planned (something like 5-6 hours before I actually eat, fruit juice to help the stomach, then I will have a simple meal consisting in eggs and vegetables), after that refill I will go for at least 10 days with one meal a day (mostly proteins, fats, low carbs and no sugar). I have a great temptation to end the fasting at day 6 (depending on how I feel) since it is getting harder with the days passing, had some tempetation about some kind of foods (believe it or not, 100% peanut butter is one of my favorites).

Wether I last till day 6 or 7 I will post my weight loss, my impressions and what advices I can give in case any of you want to go down that road.

Cheers!

Fasting is good for your body, but as Old Buck says, be careful.

Fasting in short periods can be beneficial, but certain underlining health conditions can make it extremely dangerous.  Be careful and watch what your body is telling you. There is a difference between hungry and starving.

Brothers, thanks for the concern and advices. I am currently at the start of day 6 and I feel good enough to push, so I decided to complete day 6 and get into day 7, then I will break my fast and eat again (hopefully everything will be ok).

I have not experienced any fainting and dizziness luckily. The only thing is a bit of weakness and sometimes if I use some energy I need to rest more, I will spend some more time on the bed because of this. There are no signs of starvation so I do not feel like breaking my fast now and give up for just 1 more day.

I will update you on 04/05 telling you how my meal went (I am quite sure it will be delicious, never went for so long without food).

Thanks for the heads up, I will start drinking juice and eating some fruit (the easiest thing to digest) for at least 24-36 hours before eating my meal that will be just eggs and vegetables 😛

You might have huge amounts of blood in your urine from here on out.  In order for you to avoid this it's important for you to drink Nyquil at various times of the day.

Hey, just do huge amounts of cocaine followed up by vodka and cheap cigarettes.  You'll love life both during and after these experiences.

BeachBum actually told me about water enema, the idea does not make me curious about trying that. I also do not have a plastic tube, a jar to connect it to and lube for sticking it in my butt.

Give us some numbers!  How much weight did you lose?  How much did your crank grow?  What is the air speed velocity of a coconut laden European swallow?

I am glad you are going to eat now.  I think the seven day was a bit of an extreme, but I would stay away from fruit and carbohydrates.

Your body is in ketosis right now.  If you stay away from sugars (natural or added) and carbohydrates, you can continue on the keto diet.  Eat daily but also watch the amount of calories you eat.  You will the fat reserves MELT off your body!

Stay in good health, as the next round of testing starts Monday.  I am thinking electrical.  Let's burn the fat off!

Yeah, day 7 and I feel happy just by drinking some juice. It has been quite hard, especially in the last days, anyway let's put some numbers together and then I will make a final comment on the experience.

The weight lost (last registered 10 hours into day 7) has been 16 lbs, I have been losing aroud 2,3 lbs per day but the truth is there were days when I lost more and days when I lost less. The whole time I did not eat any solid food or any liquid calories. The only things were the snake juice, green tea and chamomile, all without sugar added. Also, I have a track of the distance I walked on each day: day 1 (1,3 miles), day 2 (2,5 miles), day 3 (2,8 miles), day 4 (5,4 miles), day 5 (2,7 miles), day 6 (2 miles).

I kinda consider that nothing even if I was foodless, the Roman warriors usually walked 22 miles or more per day and with the combat gear.

I luckily never fainted in my whole life and I never did during those 7 days, also no dizziness but sometimes weakness and being tired. My body obviously wanted the food so the days went like that:

Day 1 and 2: quite good, just 1 or 2 strikes of being hungry but no weakness or negative sides at all (that is probably why 24-48 hours fasting is the best way to do it without suffering).

Day 3: this was a bad day, I felt quite bad and started thinking about when or how to stop the fasting, but in the end I just pushed through it.

Day 4 and 5: I started having different reactions, at times I felt totally fine, then I would feel tired and hungry. Going out and doing my same activites was way more difficult, the funny fact is I guess nobody around me noticed anything strange, I guess it takes more than 1 week, maybe 2-3 weeks of fasting (that's risky tho) to appear way weaker.

Days 6 and 7: I started feeling quite bad, one night I woke up with this feeling of pain and I felt like puking, in the end I did not puke and went back to bed, everything was normal again. My plan for day 7 was to just drink juice and then eat, but I found out that it is better to start eating some solid food easy to digest like some fruit, it would take 1 to 2 days before I would be able to eat a meal and now I understand why, physically it is difficult to get back into eating after 7 days of non eating. Your stomach is not used to food like it was, you digestive system needs to be tested a few times before going with food that takes more effort to be digested.

All over I never went for so long without food, and while it was not easy I enjoy the experience and knowing what could happen without food for that time. I am also happy about the food I will eat, sometimes we under estimate the things we have access to and only when we are deprived we truly understand.

Maybe in a month I will try the BeachBum fasting way, which is drinking vegetables juice instead of just salted water, that should be easier I hope.

BTW I will still try my best to go with a meal a day, that should work as a 24H fasting by default.

When you start to eat after a long fast you need to take small steps.  I had this issue after laying in the hospital for two weeks, not being allowed to eat anything until the last two days before being sent home.

During fasting, you are essentially on a clear liquid diet.  If you have intestine problems like Chrohn's, Diverticulitis, or IBS, this diet helps reduce the pain when food gets lodged in your system.

  • coffee (NO MILK)
  • tea
  • sugar free lemonade
  • beef / chicken / vegetable broth
  • gelatin (Jell-O)
  • Italian ice

Afterwards you graduate to a full liquid diet and can add the following:

  • apple / cranberry / orange / vegetable juice
  • cream of rice / wheat
  • hot chocolate
  • pudding
  • ice cream & sherbet
  • milk & yogurt
  • tomato soup

After a few days on the full liquid diet SLOWLY transition into the soft foods.  Add one or two of the following foods per day, giving your digestive system time to adjust to the semi-solid foods.  This is called the transition diet.

  • Eggs (scrambled / poached / boiled / cheese omelet)
  • pancakes
  • baked cod
  • cottage cheese
  • mashed potato (with gravy!)
  • white rice
  • applesauce
  • canned peaches / pears
  • cereals (oatmeal / corn flakes / Cheerios / Chex / Rice Krispies)
  • bread (white, toasted) & rolls
  • condiments (butter / mayo / peanut butter / jelly / cream cheese)

This information was provided to me by my healthcare provider when I left the hospital.  I had been in and out for almost a month and had not eaten the whole time.  I was VERY weak and was glad I followed their instructions.  Sometimes I have a flare-up and I will start this regimen all over to prevent myself having to go back to the hospital.

Be safe my Brother.  Ease back into solid foods.

Fantastic Math and congratulations.  The latest articles are pointing to routine fasting (16 hours) as a very beneficial way to induce good stress into your body. This research says that your recent GI purge and detoxification will improve your immune system, allow your body to perform cellular repair and completely purge your lower intestines.

You might consider also working bone broth, with himalayan salt added, into your transition out of the fast.

Check Old Buck.

Easily digestible foods: soups, steamed veggies and fiber rich plants.  Slow cooked meats and limiting artificial sugars. All in moderation of course

Thanks guys!

@OldBuck great information there, I found out that you should go with that food and calculate 1 day of reabilitation for every 4 days of fasting. So I will go with 1,5 days before eating some more complex food, if someone would fast for 40 days he should go with 10 days of riabilitation.

@GregBO Yeah it should have been a good cleaning of my insides (which should be one of the reasons to do this), I will spare you what came out of my ass, because you keep shitting even with no food, mostly liquids tho.
