In speaking with T.E.G. last week, he reminded me that I needed to change my shaving consumer habits and start using a straight razor.

I know that I want a stainless steel blade and yes, I am one of those guys who cannot go two days without shaving.

Too many years in the Army and additionally I can't grow a beard worth a damn. 

I already have the accessories from Dad's passing, but need to replace his razor.  Any thoughts regarding  blade type, width and manufactures that members are using will be greatly appreciated.

I know that this will not be a big box purchase, but my research and limited product knowledge ensures that I need to ask for guidance on this one.  This purchase will be a long term investment into a quality personal grooming instrument, plus a handy weapon in the event that I'm in the bathroom when the Zombie apocalypse starts.

Thanks in advance.

I carry a straight razor on my bike.  Who uses them for shaving?

I have been shaving with Harry's for years.  I see FailMart now sells them.  I should stock up on blades...

@pistolpete

I do hear people, it just takes me some time to understand on occasion.  Besides, your frugal nature is starting to wear off on me.

@old-buck

Thanks Buck, any specific type that you would recommend?  For facial hair of course, not tire tread!
