I would like to minimize my possessions, I own too much junk. To be honest I don't know where to start but I need to. I own way too many books that is definitely a starting point for me to get rid of the books. It was a bad habit there's a cheap second hand bookstore nearby and I'd keep telling myself that I would read them one day but with working too much and what not most are just collecting dust not getting read. I was thinking of going through them and at least figuring out which ones I can read as e books through the online e book database in Canada. I have to get rid of other things too I own way too much of everything.

Anyone else faced a daunting task of minimizing because you own too much crap? Have been getting some motivation from the minimalists.com.

A library may take the books as a donation.

Here in the U.S. we have mobile libraries, little boxes filled with books.  You can take one, leave one, it's free.  If there is something similar you can leave books there as well.

Books are survival tools as they can contain useful knowledge.  A man may not know everything, but we know where to look for our answers!

Don't be too quick on getting rid of everything.  Keep the books you plan on reading or will read again.

I am in the same boat, except I also have a ton of vinyl. So many of the indy record shops went under that I made off with as much as I could carry more times than I can count. Now it's like a full time job trying to sort out the trash from the treasure, which I don't mind but I don't have enough free time to play them all & I still go crate digging.

Books are relatively easy to offload, there are plenty of libraries which accept donations & a few used stores that will buy books, although they are very selective in what they buy in my experience. Value Village or the Salvation army would probably take them as well. There are plenty of those free little libraries like Buck posted as well or if your town does not have one, you can get your own, although with their prices I would opt to build my own.

Building your own is fun and easy.  It is nothing more than a giant bird house, or as we call them in the northwoods, cat feeders.

Ask for donations.  The old newspaper box looks awesome.  If you have a local newspaper, ask for a couple old boxes to start your own little free libraries.  Once a week swap some books out and rotate the stock.

Maybe even add an adult section, with content geared towards independent men? I'm thinking self help stuff, red pill themed stories, etc. and not necessarily MGTOW content.

Don't forget to add a couple cat fancy mags.  Just for fun.  And maybe an outdoor magazine?  Let then know Old Buck was there!

@gringo-star

I think we add a credit card reader to the mailbox and rent the vinyls.  Maybe a hi-fi setup in the bottom so you can play them right at the box?

Personally I would disassemble the record player and rebuild it inside the bottom section.

With a little foam tape, gasket maker, and Pam spray, I could get that box to be waterproof.

A lot of men have been forced into minimalization.  It is called divorce.  One of my coworkers came home after work to find the house empty, with just a note on the kitchen floor.  His soon-to-be ex took everything, including the lightbulbs and ice cube trays.  The ice cube trays were never used, as they had an ice maker.  They were kept in the bottom cabinet, way in back at the bottom.  She even took the garden hose.  Not ONE item was left behind.  He was suprised that she didn't take the molding and trim, too.

Living a minimalistic lifestyle is the opposite of consumerism.  You are trying to spend the least amount of money, and save/invest the most.

You don't have to get rid of something if it has minimal cost for upkeep or mainenance.  If it doesn't cost anything to store it, then keep it.  You definitely want to do a cost/benefit analysis on future purchases, but investments should not be ignored.  If you can afford to invest wisely, you are not wasting money.

The TVOR videos contain all I would have to write if he hadn't done these for us.

I love my 1000's of books and they often had cost either nothing (used) or a fortune as specialized literature.

If women were only 1 percent as interesting as my books, I might find joy in being around them, LOL.

Books inevitably take your life beyond women, that's why every one of the cunts I took home despised my collection.

They only saw the paper books and not the 400 GB of .pdf files I have gathered by now.

I had a cabin once.  Me and a bunch of dudes I met in the rehab clinic used to get super fucked up and party balls on the weekends.  One dude was on roids and would totally freak the fuck out and smash shit with his head.  One guy died because of some kind of overdose, but whatever.  There were a fuck tom of animals outside so we put the body out there and a bear came by and ate it.  It might have been like mice or something else.  Whatever.  I got the best drugs out of this.  Cabins are cool! Oh, and a dude used to stop by and use our sink a lot.  He said that he was a hunter and that's why his hands always had blood on them.

Being a fan of used bookstores, I've accumulated too many books that I still haven't read.  I recently made a small pile of books I committed to reading before donating them, and I gave myself a length of time to read each book.  I wrote down the titles of my other books and have started donating them to the library.  When I'm ready to read them, I'll borrow them.

I'm thinning out my other possessions too.  There are of course some things I want to keep, but nothing that can't easily be packed up and taken to another destination on short notice.  To the extent practical, I try to keep my possessions minimal, compact, and portable.

Fantastic picture Matcha.  It shows how much living a man can do, inside a space that keeps him focused on the important aspects of life.  Contemplation and reflection inside (the desk), or outside in the environment.  Sweet indeed.

I’ve found that I get a lot more done since ending up in an instant minimalist lifestyle. When my wife and I split I took a few essential things.  My bikes, weights and clothes.   Six months after moving I have a mattress on the floor and a single armchair.  I don’t miss the stuff and find it’s been good for me to get outside and do things rather than plop in front of a tv.
I keep in regular contact with my child but other than that my old life is over. Time to make the most of what is now.

There is nothing to be gained by playing the game to qualify oneself for the privilege of giving away resources and sacrificing sovereignty.

All of my female "acquaintances" tried to nail me to the sofa in front of the TV to watch her retarded bullshit.

Hour after hour, only to be confronted with her constantly bad mood and built-in negativity.

I knew that my life would be over if she moved in and got the upper hand. Which is what they all want and never stop fighting for.

So, if it has a cunt, then the brain is (almost always) missing and the TV and her cats will be the best partner for her. Definitely not me.

(I forgot her smartphone, I quit dealing with cunts before these things became their number 1 life-partners)
