Don't wait to start investing because you feel that you do not know enough about investment plans, options, the market; start today by saving cash and placing it into a safety deposit box.  Cash always spends and it's easier to get to.

The rate of return is of course better on investments, but having a nice emergency fund in all cash is mandatory these days.

It all starts with deciding what you don't need on a daily/weekly basis. Stop spending the money on those expenses and put the money in the you cash fund. It does accumuate quickly and helps you set a pattern of saving.

Cash? Right, not me! All my cash for the last 5 years has gone into an economic Ferrari that's finally assembled and running but no fuel (cash). Every dime I make is going towards the fuel to get it moving from an almost 20 year long laps during the progressives failed economic policies that left me in the socialist dust! Financial devastation!

I was always good in business and making money until all the rules went out the window from all the socialist changes taken place just like Venezuela!

i do not like using credit or debit cards.

i like to have cash on me at all times.

throwing some in a safe spot for future use is essential.

That's saving Gregbo not investing. It is a good thing to do though nonetheless.

The point of the article BS was to address the issue of men not doing any financial planning until it is too late.  If you feel uncomfortable then save. When you feel comfortable invest. Either way you are attempting to take control of your financial future.

Check Hitman and thanks, It's only too late to save after you have an emergent need for fiscal resources.  Like you, I am a fan of having a bug out bag ready to go with enough resources of each type to hold me over in the short term.

I hope everyone has had a chance to read this post. The delicate thread of comfort and provision can snap any day. While I don't believe it will be a permanent thing, I do believe it could be up to months before all areas are stabilized again. Be sure to have provisions and finances prepared at all times, as that is the wise thing to do regardless, as you never know when you might meet a personal crisis as well.
