Zoom Join-By-phone function

Zoom Video sessions may be joined using a traditional telephone for those having limited data access or capacity. This function is also useful when your computer or mobile device does not have a microphone or speaker. Users will be charged a standard carrier fee for this connection as Zoom has no Toll-Free numbers.

The below instructions are for Windows Platform users. Macintosh, Linux or smart device instructions may be found on the Zoom.us support page. Just add the page title in the search window and the applicable information will be displayed.

Join a Zoom meeting using a telephone for audio and computer/mobile device for video:

Join the ZOOM session via https://zoom.us/join and enter the session ID when prompted and then click on Join. The Popup “Choose ONE of the audio conference options” will be displayed.

Selection Join by Phone to display the appropriate telephone numbers for your use, write them down in the event that you lose internet connectivity.
Join the session using your video camera as normal.

Join a Zoom meeting using traditional telephone audio only. Carrier Fee Rates Apply

  1. Dial an in-country number. If you dial a toll number, your carrier rates will apply. United States participants will call either (415) 762-9988 or (646) 568-7788. All members can find a full list of international dial-in numbers at https://zoom.us/zoomconference.
  2. You will be prompted to enter the meeting ID – the nine (9) or ten (10) digit ID provided to you by the host, followed by #
  3. You have now joined the ZOOM meeting.
